FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What is a Connect group?
Connect Groups are Beltsville Adventist Church's groups of 5-15 people that meet online or in person to learn more about the Bible, grow in their faith, and meet some great new friends.
• Each Connect Group meets for 60-75 minutes a week via Zoom or in person.
• Some groups meet every other week and most groups run for 8 weeks.

Is there a group that’s right for me?
Since there are a variety of groups, you’ll have the chance to share your life experiences with others who have similar ones.

Do I need to buy a book or study guide?
It depends.  Some groups do not require you to purchase a book or study guide.  But for some groups, you will need to purchase the book that your group will be studying.  It’s normally inexpensive.  But, if purchasing a book is a financial hardship, please email office.bsda@gmail.com and we will be happy to help you out.  We don’t want anything to keep you from growing!

What happens when I sign up?
When you sign up, the leader of your new Connect Group will contact you with the link of the Group’s meeting place, the date and time you’ll be starting on, and all the other information you’ll need to have a great experience.

When will my group meet?
Our Connect Groups meet once a week, and each meeting is just sixty to ninety minutes long. Groups meet 8 times over the semester. It’s a short-term commitment but the positive impact on your life will be long-term.

What will the people in my group be like?
Connect Groups are made up of the same people that attend a Beltsville Adventist Church worship service. You’ll most likely see a few people that you have seen on Saturday as well as some people that you’re meeting for the first time. It’s a great way to get to know other people outside of a Saturday service.
